Where the smallest steps can make the biggest differences.

As a Support Worker with Inspire, you’ll support children and young people with different needs to achieve milestones that will stay with them forever, and discover just how rewarding your career can be.

Helping children thrive. Helping you grow.

At Inspire, we support children and young people aged 3-18 with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, complex health needs, and autism across our specialist residential homes. As a Support Worker, you won’t just provide care—you’ll become part of a child’s journey, celebrating first steps, first words, and countless “impossible” achievements.

This isn’t just a job; it’s an opportunity to experience genuine purpose whilst building a rewarding career with one of the UK’s leading specialist care providers.

Every day brings new challenges, profound rewards, and the knowledge that you’re helping vulnerable children live their fullest lives.

Why choose Inspire?

Join a team where purpose meets opportunity. At Inspire, every day is a chance to make a difference for children and young people while building a career you can be proud of.

Small steps, big futures

At Inspire, even the smallest progress is celebrated, because for the children we support these moments mean everything. From a child holding a spoon for the first time to learning to communicate in their own way, you’ll witness and encourage breakthroughs that others thought impossible. Many of our children are non-verbal, so you’ll become their advocate, helping them express themselves through smiles, gestures, laughter, and trust. These milestones aren’t quick fixes. They’re patient steps that add up to lasting change. Being part of that journey gives you a sense of purpose and reward that words alone can’t capture.

Careers that grow with you

You don’t need formal qualifications or years of experience to thrive at Inspire. What matters is compassion, resilience, and the right attitude. Many of our leaders started as Support Workers and worked their way up to Team Leader, Deputy Manager, Registered Manager, and even Service Director. From your first day, you’ll be supported with structured inductions, therapeutic training, and funded qualifications (Level 3 and beyond). With access to mentoring, leadership programmes, and specialist pathways, your growth is always encouraged. At Inspire, we believe in your potential, because when you thrive, so do the children.

A family you can rely on

Our homes are more than workplaces. They’re communities where staff support each other like family while maintaining professional boundaries. You’ll never be “just a number.” From your first day, you’ll be welcomed, guided, and supported by colleagues and managers who care about your wellbeing as much as your work. We celebrate together, problem-solve together, and step in for each other when times are tough. This sense of belonging and teamwork makes Inspire feel like a second home, not just for children, but for staff too.

Breaking barriers, opening doors

At Inspire, we reject the idea that disability means limitation. Where others see barriers, we see opportunities for creativity, courage, and innovation. Our teams open doors to experiences many thought were out of reach: from holidays and theme park trips to flying planes and joining local clubs. We work to ensure no child is disadvantaged, helping them take part in everyday community life with confidence and pride. This isn’t about managing needs. It’s about showing children that the world is open to them, and walking beside them as they explore it.

Life in every day

Support Work at Inspire is as varied as it is rewarding. Some days it’s about morning routines, school runs, and homework. Others it’s about spontaneous fun, creative activities, or trips into the community. There are quieter moments too: listening, encouraging, and building the trust that helps children feel safe and valued. Every day is a mix of the ordinary and the extraordinary, and no two days are ever quite the same. What stays constant is the chance to create joy, comfort, and growth in a child’s life.

Excellence with heart

Behind the warmth and family atmosphere, Inspire also delivers the highest professional standards. All our homes are regulated and registered with Ofsted, and we’re known for strong partnerships with local authorities, schools, and health specialists. Staff are equipped with cutting-edge tools, from sensory rooms to Smartbox communication devices, and trained in safeguarding, therapeutic care, and specialist interventions. This blend of compassion and professionalism ensures children receive the very best support, while staff are proud to be part of a team that’s both caring and capable.

What you’ll do

As a Support Worker with Inspire, you’ll play a vital role in the lives of children and young people with complex needs. More than daily care, your work creates safe, positive environments where they can grow and thrive.

You’ll support with routines, meals, and activities, while offering encouragement that builds confidence and celebrates every achievement, big or small. No two days are the same – one moment you’ll be helping a child learn new skills, the next you’ll be putting them to bed and reading them a bedtime story.

This role calls for patience, empathy, and resilience — and in return, you’ll find the unique reward of knowing your support is helping to change lives for the better.
